A beautifully understated vintage Chinese writing table crafted from solid elmwood, dating to the first half of the 20th century. The rectangular plank top rests on four straight legs joined by horizontal stretchers, creating an open, architectural silhouette characteristic of traditional Chinese country furniture. Generations of use have given the elm a warm, naturally weathered finish with visible grain, worn edges, old markings, and subtle tonal variations that give the piece its authentic character.
