Sunnyside Trading has a deep appreciation for antique and vintage seating, with a particular love of Indian teakwood benches—often richly carved and layered with traces of original paint. Each piece reflects the craftsmanship and character of its past life, bringing warmth and authenticity into the home. All of our chairs and benches were crafted from teakwood, and those having backs are largely original, with only the occasional slat or element thoughtfully replaced over time.
We also offer both Indian thick wood slab-top benches and some with carved-front aprons, constructed from reclaimed teak and antique architectural elements—solid, versatile pieces that work beautifully in a range of interiors.
From China, we source elm and pine farmer’s benches, dining benches, traditional “school” benches, and a variety of distinctive stools.
