Vintage Chinese Lacquered Elm Bookcase/Shelf originating from Gansu province and made in the 1st half of the 20th century. Now lacquered in an olive green color, it features a crisply carved and scalloped apron, doors and ornamentation. Perfect in a kitchen or as bookcase, the large open space was probably an area designed for displaying spiritual or ancestral art or statuary.
