Antique Anglo-Indian Teakwood and Brass Box on Iron Stand, the dark teak facade exuberently decorated with golden brass rosettes, sitting inside its frame with faux drawers and an intact writing box interior. Found in Rajasthan, c. 1880. Maybe the writing box of a 19th century diplomat? It will make a bold  design statement as a side table next to a large sofa in a mountain or farmhouse interior.
