A beautifully understated vintage Chinese writing table crafted from solid elmwood, dating to the first half of the 20th century. The rectangular plank top rests on four straight legs joined by horizontal stretchers, creating an open, architectural base with the simple, functional character of traditional Chinese country furniture. The naturally aged elm displays visible grain, worn edges, subtle tonal variations, and a warm patina developed through generations of use.
Its clean lines and versatile proportions make this table suitable as a writing desk, console table, small dining table, or work table. The open base gives the piece a light visual presence, while the broad top provides ample surface for books, a lamp, pottery, or collected objects. Its restrained form and beautifully aged elm complement Santa Fe, wabi-sabi, farmhouse, mountain modern, minimalist, or contemporary interiors.
This item will arrive Santa Fe in mid-October '26.
