A simple and beautifully proportioned vintage Chinese stool crafted from solid elmwood, dating to the first half of the 20th century. The rectangular plank seat rests on straight legs joined by traditional stretchers, creating a clean, architectural silhouette. Generations of use have given the elm a warm, naturally aged surface with visible grain, worn edges, subtle markings, and a rich patina.
Compact and versatile, this stool can be used for occasional seating, beside a chair or sofa as a small side table, in an entryway, or as a pedestal for pottery and collected objects. Its understated form and beautifully aged elm work naturally in Santa Fe, wabi-sabi, farmhouse, mountain modern, boho chic, or contemporary interiors.
This item will arrive Santa Fe in mid-October '26.
