A distinctive vintage Chinese bench crafted from solid elmwood, dating to the first half of the 20th century. The long, narrow plank seat is supported by splayed trestle-style legs accented with carved cloud-form brackets and scrolling details. A shaped apron runs beneath the seat, adding another subtle architectural element to the simple, functional form. Generations of use have softened the elm to a pale, naturally weathered finish with visible grain, worn edges, and an authentic aged patina.

Its narrow profile makes this bench particularly versatile for an entryway or hallway, beneath a window, alongside a dining table, or as a decorative accent for displaying pottery and collected objects. The combination of rustic elm and traditional carved details works beautifully in Santa Fe, wabi-sabi, farmhouse, mountain modern, boho chic, or contemporary interiors.

This item will arrive Santa Fe in mid-October '26.
