A distinctive vintage Chinese bench crafted from solid elmwood, dating to the first half of the 20th century. The long, narrow plank seat is supported by splayed trestle-style legs joined with stretchers, while gracefully shaped brackets beneath the seat add subtle architectural detail. Generations of use have softened the elm to a pale, naturally weathered finish with visible grain, worn edges, old markings, and an authentic aged patina.
Its exceptionally narrow profile makes this bench particularly versatile for an entryway or hallway, beneath a window, alongside a dining table, or as a decorative accent for displaying pottery and collected objects. The simple construction and beautifully aged elm work naturally in Santa Fe, wabi-sabi, farmhouse, mountain modern, boho chic, or contemporary interiors.
This item will arrive Santa Fe in mid-October '26.
