A beautiful vintage Chinese bench crafted from solid elmwood, dating to the first half of the 20th century. The long rectangular seat rests on slender legs joined by an open geometric apron and traditional stretchers, giving the piece a refined architectural quality while maintaining the understated simplicity of Chinese furniture. Generations of use have developed a rich, dark patina across the elm, with worn edges and subtle areas of exposed wood revealing the warmth and character beneath.

Its compact proportions make this bench especially versatile for an entryway, hallway, bedroom, or living space. It works beautifully as occasional seating, at the foot of a bed, or as a low display surface for books and collected objects. The clean lines and richly aged elm make it equally at home in Santa Fe, mountain modern, farmhouse, boho chic, or contemporary interiors.

This item will arrive Santa Fe in mid-October '26.
