Antique Chinese Painted Hall Cabinet, 37Hx52x18

Antique Chinese Painted Hall Cabinet, from the Qing Dynasty, mid-19th century. It was originally a top opening rice storage cabinet, hence the drawers in the bottom. The top was later closed  and the decorative front panel cut out and made the facade for the 2 doors. In its original paint decoration, it features classical Chinese design motifs - beautiful ceramic vases with flowers, scholar's scrolls and a musical instrument.
