A striking six-door cabinet crafted from solid elmwood, hand-painted in the late Qing dynasty tradition, circa 1880-1900. The deep red lacquered panels are adorned with hand-painted florals, a mythical fish-bodied figure holding a lotus blossom, and delicate gold scrollwork borders — each door telling its own small story. The dark green-black frame shows generations of honest wear, with the wood grain and undercoat visible through worn edges, giving the piece an authentic, lived-in patina impossible to replicate.
Standing on sturdy block feet, the cabinet offers generous storage behind its three sets of doors, making it equally at home as a sideboard, media console, or entryway piece. The rich, contrasting palette of oxblood red, forest green, and warm ochre gold brings character and history into any room — traditional or eclectic modern.
This item will arrive Santa Fe in mid-October '26.
