A beautifully rustic vintage Chinese bench crafted from solid elmwood, dating to the late Qing dynasty. The long plank seat rests above a simple architectural apron with gently shaped corner brackets, supported by slender legs and traditional side stretchers. Traces of old blue-green paint remain across the base, contrasting beautifully with the naturally worn wood seat and revealing layers of color and patina developed through generations of use.

At over six feet long, this bench provides generous seating while maintaining a narrow, understated profile. It works beautifully along a dining table, in an entryway, at the foot of a bed, or beneath a large piece of artwork. The combination of simple lines, aged elm, and faded painted surface gives it an authentic character that works especially well in Santa Fe, farmhouse, mountain modern, boho chic, or contemporary interiors.
