Antique Anglo-Indian Teakwood Door + Frame, of monumental scale and quality. Made for an important haveli in Rajasthan in the last half of the 19th century, it features a rounded arch top frame carved with center cartouche ending in neoclassic swags holding flowers. Below the arch is a profusely carved botanical panel centered with a medallion of the haveli's owner's initials. The frame is supported by 2 carved round columns, and the rococo shaped door frames have fluted upper panels, botanical carved lower panels, and brass handles and lock clasp. One of a pair available, these doors are some of the best we have ever offered. Priced and sold individually.
