A charming vintage Chinese ginger jar dating to the second half of the 20th century. The rounded ceramic vessel retains its fitted lid and is decorated in the traditional blue-and-white palette. Hand-painted animal and floral motifs are surrounded by stylized clouds and decorative patterns in varying shades of cobalt blue, giving the jar a lively folk-art quality. Variations in the brushwork, glaze, and surface add to its individual character.
