African Abstract Luba Kifwebe Society mask

This is an old hand carved wooden mask from the Luba Peoples, Congo / DRC , Africa. Masks of this type were used during Kifwebe society ceremonial festivals. The mask was decorated with linear designs accented with red,white and black kaolin clay pigment.
