Sabra, or cactus silk, is woven from the leaves of the agave plant. These sabra products have long been described as coming from agave leaves but that story is now in question. These pieces are woven and dyed by Berber women in the Central Atlas mountains of Morocco but may be of a cotton base origin. Regardless, they are beautiful, finely woven and embroidered, and add an element of bohemian sophistication to any interior.
